Scholarship Day
Tuesday, January 29, 2013
9:30 am OR 12:00 Noon
You CAN afford an excellent private education from Mount Marty College! We strive to make a quality private college education affordable through our numerous scholarship and award opportunities. For example, MMC's Scholarship Day is an opportunity for the best and brightest of our future students to compete for a boost to their current Guaranteed Academic Scholarship, or better yet, find themselves the recipient of MMC's highest academic honor-the Presidential Academic Scholarship of up to full tuition!
Admitted high school seniors who have a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative high school GPA and a 26 ACT/1170 SAT (Reading and Math) score are invited and encouraged to participate.
To ensure that the Scholarship Day Interview Committee has adequate time with each applicant as well as to be respectful of your time and travel needs, we are offering two program start times. We will bring all Scholarship Day participants and their families together for our lunch program as the morning session concludes with lunch and the afternoon session begins with lunch.
Scholarship Opportunities
Prestigious Academic Scholarships
There are two types of Prestigious Academic Scholarships awarded to qualified participants:
| Scholastica Scholarship | |
| • |
Up to $1,500 on top of Guaranteed Academic Scholarship |
| • | The Scholastica Scholarship will be in addition to other academic, talent or participation-based aid for which the student is eligible (not to exceed full-tuition). |
| Presidential Scholarship | |
| • | Up to FULL TUITION |
| • | The Presidential Scholarship will replace any previously awarded academic scholarship. If the recipient is eligible for other talent or participation-based aid such as fine arts scholarships, athletic scholarships, and/or the Catholic scholarship, the Presidential Scholarship will be awarded in the amount which is the difference between the total of these awards and full-time tuition. |
Talent Scholarships
Students interested in Talent Scholarships for art, band, choir, creative writing or theatre also have the opportunity to audition or interview during this event. Scholarship amounts are based on talent, involvement and major/minor status. If interested, just indicate your area(s) of interest in the registration process. The Talent Scholarship Guidelines document offers information on documents required in advance and guidelines on how to prepare for your audition or interview.
