MMC Soccer Program Signs Norfolk Stand Out

Published Date2\15\2012
Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the signing of Allison Erwin, Norfolk High School student, to play soccer for the Lancers next fall. Erwin, a forward, holds many records for the Norfolk High School team that was the 2009 and 2010 conference champions as well as a Nebraska state qualifier in 2010.

Some of Erwin's records include: most goals in a game (6), most goals in a season (22), most assists in a season (11), and most assists in a career (22). Erwin has totaled 34 goals in 3 seasons at Norfolk High School with her senior campaign getting ready to begin.

Lancer head coach, Nathan Epp, is looking forward to having Erwin join the team this fall. "Allison is the true forward that we need here at Mount Marty. She is very aggressive and puts a lot of pressure on opposing defenses. Her ability to stretch the field, score, and willingness to get the assist will instantly make her a threat to teams up front for us. She has all of the characteristics that we are looking for in our forwards."

In addition to soccer, Erwin also participates in volleyball and basketball at Norfolk where she has earned Academic All-Conference accolades. During the summer, she also played on the Nebraska Select and the Norfolk Express club soccer teams. She is undecided on her major at Mount Marty College and is currently being considered for academic scholarships. Erwin is the daughter of John and Robin Erwin of Norfolk, NE.
