Mount Marty College Signs Two Sport Athlete Published Date3\9\2012
Mount
Marty College is pleased to announce the signing of Brittni Bormann to
the Lancers women’s basketball and softball programs for next fall.
Bormann, a 5' 9" senior from Woodbury Central High School in Moville,
Iowa, has playing experience as a guard and has scored over 900 career
points. She was named both Lewis and Clark All-Conference and Nebraska
Honorable Mention All-State in 2010 and 2011. Bormann has a 40% field
goal average, 25% 3 point field goals, 60% free throw shooter and
averaged 10 points per game, 2.1 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per
game, and 3 steals per game.
"We are excited about Brittni joining our program," says head women's
basketball coach, Tom Schlimgen, "her shooting and all-around athletic
ability should translate well to the college game."
As a softball player, Bormann will join the Lancers as a pitcher and
first base player. Her pitching statistics were: ERA 1.36, W-L 12-4,
APP 16, GS 16, CG 16, SHO 5, IP 112, H 52, R 22, ER 22, BB 42, SO 120.
Head softball coach, Albert Fernandez, says, "We are excited to have
Brittni join our softball program next fall. She is a good athlete and
has a great work ethic. I really see her fitting well with the MMC
community and look forward to having her in our program."
Bormann, daughter of Dan and Lynne Bormann, is undecided in her major
but will receive an Academic Incentive scholarship in addition to her
basketball and softball awards.
