Published Date3\15\2012
The NAIA has announced that four Mount Marty College women's basketball student-athletes have been named as 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Senior, Kylie Gross of Yankton, SD and juniors, Sarah Crosgrove of Ponca, NE, Brittany Little of Castlewood, SD, and Paige Nelson of Colman, SD were the recipients of the award.

Head MMC women's basketball coach, Tom Schlimgen said, "I couldn't be prouder of these players. To be a student-athlete it takes a lot of work. Then to obtain the GPA necessary for this award is an even greater accomplishment. It really speaks volumes about the characters of these women and the types of players that we have at MMC."

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
