Bainbridge Signs with MMC Baseball

Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the commitment of Brandon Bainbridge of Kingsley, IA to attend Mount Marty College this fall and participate in the baseball program.

Bainbridge graduated this spring from Kingsley-Pierson High School. Bainbridge is a left-handed pitcher and first baseman that is coming off an outstanding junior season in which he led his team to a District Championship and a Sub-State Runner-up finish. For his efforts Bainbridge was named 3rd Team All-State Pitcher. He finished the season with a 9-2 record on the mound with a 1.98 ERA and stuck out 91 batters in 74 1/3 innings pitched. Bainbridge is already off to another great season this year with a 16 strikeout performance in a 5-1 victory over Whiting High School on May 25.

Mount Marty College head baseball coach, Andy Bernatow, is excited to announce the commitment of Brandon to the Lancer baseball program. "I am very excited to sign Brandon. We are in need of left-handed pitching and Brandon has the potential to be a good one for us. He's coming off a great junior season and is off to a great start for his senior one. I am very anxious to get him on campus and start working with him."

The son of Tom and Colleen Bainbridge, Bainbridge will major in Business and Accounting at Mount Marty. He is the recipient of an MMC Academic Scholarship and in addition to his baseball scholarship.
