Mount Marty Softball Adds Infielder to Roster

Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the signing of Olivia Rodriguez to the Lancers softball program for the fall.

Rodriguez, a 5'4" graduate of Bellevue West High School, has playing experience as shortstop, second base, and catcher. She lettered three times during her high school career. Her senior statistics so far this season are: Ave .338, AB 65, R 17, H 22, 2B 6, 3B 1, RBIs 12, BB 4, SO 6, and SB 7.

Head MMC softball coach, Albert Fernandez, says, "I am excited to have Olivia join the MMC community and our softball program. She has been an integral part of the Bellevue Shockers club softball program. Olivia is a dedicated student and has a good work ethic on the field. She is a complete fit with Mount Marty and we look forward to her hard work and dedication in the years to come."

Rodriguez, the daughter of Anthony and Kimberly Rodriguez, will major in nursing at Mount Marty College and is receiving an honors academic scholarship in addition to her softball award.
