Peacock Dreams Displayed at Washington Pavilion

Mount Marty College Associate Professor of Art, David Kahle, created an original oil painting to accompanying a poem that will be on display during the upcoming exhibition, P3 (Painters, Poets & Pavilion), at the Washington Pavilion Visual Arts Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

"This original work of art is a montage of four to five original works of art, collaged together to create a unique, visual theme," states Kahle.

The exhibition will run from December 21, 2012 through March 16, 2013 in the Everist Gallery. There will be a poetry reading March 16 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and a closing reception March 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Kahle is the Associate Professor of Fine Arts at Mount Marty College and the Bede Art Gallery Director. His original work titled, Peacock Dreams, is displayed to match the poem by Marcella Redmund of the USD Department of English. Redmund is Faculty Advisor of the Vermillion Literary Project (VLP). Kahle's original work, a collage oil painting, will be displayed for the duration of the exhibit. For more information on the exhibit please visit www.washingtonpavilion.org.
