MMC Benedictine Institute Welcomes Author/Photographer, Paul Horsted
The Mount Marty College Benedictine Institute of Leadership, Ethics, and Social Justice is pleased to welcome author/photographer, Paul Horsted, to campus for a book signing and slide program. The event entitled, "The Black Hills to Yellowstone: Yesterday & Today", will be held on Sunday, March 24th at 2:00 PM in Marian Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.
Working with collector/researcher Bob Berry, and using images dating back as far back as 1871, Horsted has "re-photographed" more than 100 locations around Yellowstone National Park. Horsted presents a fascinating look at how the park has changed, and how it has been preserved, since the historic photographs were taken. It's a technique he has refined working on similar projects with historic photos around the Black Hills of South Dakota.
As also the author of many books, such as "Exploring with Custer", "Crossing the Plains with Custer", and "The Black Hills Yesterday & Today". Horsted's latest book, "Yellowstone Yesterday & Today," was released this past November.
At the event, Horsted will reveal the "then and now" images of the Black Hills and Yellowstone during the free slide at Mount Marty College. The event will conclude with a book signing.
