Mount Marty Womens Soccer Adds Defender

Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the athletic signing of Mary Hackett of Omaha, NE to play soccer for the Lancers this coming season.

Hackett, a defender, played soccer for Ralston High School as well as the Ralston Soccer Club. She was a four year varsity letter winner, named RCC Academic All-Conference, and was awarded Most Valued Competitor for her team.

Nathan Epp, head MMC women's soccer coach is excited with the signing. "We are thrilled to have Mary joining our program. She has all of the tools to become a great defender in college. She has the size, speed and aggressiveness to make an immediate impact on our program. She is a pure athlete that also excels in the classroom. She will be a great addition to the MMC student body."

Off the field, Hackett was on the Distinctive Honor Roll for three years and a member of the National Honor Society.

Hackett, the daughter Tara Hackett and Ken Hackett is undecided in her major at Mount Marty College. In addition to her soccer award she will also be receiving an honors academic scholarship.
