Mount Marty College Homecoming Royalty Announced

The Mount Marty College faculty, staff, and student body recently voted for homecoming royalty candidates among its eligible senior class. Five women and five men were chosen to be candidates for Lord and Lady Marben as part of the 55th Annual Homecoming Coronation taking place on Friday, February 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Marian Auditorium on the Yankton campus. Coronation is one of many student activities scheduled during the weeklong "Mount Marty Gras" celebration, which begins with a 4 p.m. homecoming Mass on Sunday the 2nd.

The five women chosen were: Nikki Boyle, Creighton, NE, daughter of Ed and Karen Boyle; Kim Kokesh, Wagner, SD, daughter of Doug and Kathy Kokesh; Johanna Scheich, Ethan, SD, daughter of Len and Patty Scheich; Stacey Schleich, Mitchell, SD, daughter of Robert and Lori Schleich; and Megan Wortmann, Norfolk, NE, daughter of Mike and Jackie Wortmann.

The five men chosen were: Dylan Babel, Humphrey, NE, son of Lyle and Sue Babel; Mychal Bierwagen, Lemmon, SD, son of Ron and Doreen Bierwagen; Ben Harmon, Omaha, NE, son of Tom and Kath Harmon; Chris Hoffman, Yankton, SD, son of Jerry and Kathy Hoffman; Jordan Pater, Adrian, MN, son of Darrin and Joan Pater.

Lord and Lady Marben will be crowned by last year's Lord, Weston Swanson.

The week's homecoming activities will conclude on Feb. 8th with men's and women's basketball games against Hastings College beginning at 2 p.m. and a formal dance later in the evening.
