Mount Marty Signs Washington State Pair
Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the athletic signing of Brad Miller and Austin Miller student athletes from Maple Valley, Washington to the Lancer athletic program for the 2014-15 season.
Brad (William) Miller, a transfer student from Green River Community College and a graduate of Rainier Christian High School, will be joining the Lancers golf program. He was a three time varsity letterman that was a number three seed golfer his senior year. He was a part of the 2012 SeaTac League Championship team and was the recipient of the Mustang Award and Coaches award from RCHS.
MMC head men's golf coach, Todd Schlimgen, is happy to have Miller on the team. "It will be great to have Brad with the program this coming fall. His experience with the game and competition will be a great addition."
Austin Miller, a Tahoma High School student, will be joining the Lancers track and field and cross country programs. He was a two time letter winner in cross country and was a part of the 2012 SPSL 4A Division Track Championship squad and the 2012 and 2013 Cross Country team that placed sixth each year.
Head MMC track and field/cross country coach, Randy Fischer, is excited to sign Miller. "I'm looking forward to working with Austin next year. I believe he is going to be a great fit with the team and the Mount Marty College community."
The sons of William and Jacqueline Miller, Brad will be majoring in computer information systems and Austin will be majoring in accounting at MMC. In addition to his athletic award Austin will also be receiving an Academic Achievement Scholarship.
