Three one-act plays will be presented as final projects for the Spring Play Directing course at Mount Marty College's Yankton campus. The evening of short plays will be presented in the Bistro Second Stage, located in Bede Hall Room 127 on Thursday, May 1 at 9 p.m. and Friday, May 2 at 7 p.m. The plays are open to the public free of charge.

In THE GAME, by Louise Bryant, a gamble between Life and Death will determine the fate of two young geniuses. Will Death win their souls or will the power of Life prevail? Director Krystal Flom adds, "An interesting game between two of history’s famous foes." Cast members include Janaya Lewis, Brian Vodvarka, Luke Reeves and Ellie Dickes.

With Jonathan Rand's, CHECK PLEASE, we witness how a series of blind dates can go awry. Director Caitlin Ostrander invites the audience, "If you love to watch other's misfortunes, you will love this play." Cast members include Rachel Shippy, Will Adderley, Nick Adderley, Tessa Carda, Jeremy Behrends, Kyle Anderson, Cydnee Davis and Christian Petrich.

In ONE FOR THE ROAD, by Harold Pinter, a family finds itself on the wrong side of a totalitarian government. Nicolas finds this amusing. Is it? According to director Samantha Tobey, "This play touches on topics that many people avoid or deny. From torture to abuse to death, Nicolas will take you through every level, and then some." Cast members include Billy Danner, Vincent Raia, Janaya Lewis, Luke Reeves and John Hodson. ONE FOR THE ROAD carries a PG-13 rating due to strong language.
