Mount Marty College Signs Two Soccer Standouts
The Mount Marty College men's and women's soccer program is pleased to announce the athletic signing of Yajua Kiromba and Annabelle Martin to play soccer for the Lancers this coming season. Kiromba will graduate from Fargo South High and Martin from Chamberlain High School this spring.
Kiromba, a 5'9" forward and midfielder, was a member of the third place 2012 State Tournament team and in 2013 were state tournament qualifiers.
MMC head men's soccer coach, Nathan Epp stated "We are thrilled to have Yajua joining our program. He has the ability to play either of the outside midfield or forward positions. Yajua understands the game very well and is an excellent passer. He will fit in very well with our style of play and will give us more options in our attack."
Kiromba is the son of Marieti Bahati from Fargo, ND. In addition to his soccer scholarship, Kiromba is also receiving an academic Incentive Scholarship from MMC.
Martin, a 5'5" midfielder, was on the South Dakota Second Team All-State team, team captain for two years for her high school team, and received three letters during her high school career.
"I see Annabelle being very involved on campus. She is a high character individual and we are fortunate to have her here at Mount Marty," states MMC head soccer coach, Nathan Epp. "We are excited to have Annabelle joining our program. She is a versatile player that has the potential to play multiple positions for us."
The daughter of Jackie Bottomley of Chamberlain, SD Martin plans to major in radiologic technology at Mount Marty College. In addition to her soccer scholarship, Martin is receiving an academic Honors Scholarship from MMC.
