Mount Marty College Womens Basketball Signs Three

Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the athletic signings of Jenna Kittler, Taylor Wingert, and Trista Morgan to the women’s basketball program.

Kittler, 5'8" point guard, is a 2014 graduate of Dakota Valley High School in North Sioux City, SD where she was a four year letter winner, earned All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2011 and 2012, 3rd Team All-Conference in 2013 and 2014, and Defensive MVP all four years. Adding to her athletic awards, Kittler was an academic letter winner all four years and a National Honor Society member. The daughter of Randy and Tracie Kittler of Dakota Dunes, SD Kittler will be a pre-professional major at Mount Marty College.

Wingert, a 5'9" forward, was an All-Conference Honorable Mention recipient. She is graduating from Hills-Beaver Creek High School in Beaver Creek, MN this spring. The daughter of Matt Wingert of Valley Springs, SD she will be majoring in chemistry and psychology at MMC.

Morgan, a 5'10" point guard, will soon be a graduate of Pender Public School in Pender, NE. Morgan’s team ended up placing in the state tournament all of her four years; 2nd, 3rd, 1st, and 3rd. She received All-State Honorable Mention honors by the 2014 World Herald and 2014 Lincoln Journal Star. The daughter of Brad and Kathy Morgan of Walthill, NE she will be majoring in elementary education and special education at Mount Marty College.

Head women's basketball coach, Tom Schlimgen, is excited to welcome the three additions to the team. "All three of these players are going to bring a good work ethic and experience to our team. Trista Morgan has been a big part of Pender's success the past 4 years. She has the ability to score and is a very good defender. All will represent MMC in a very positive way and we are excited for them to become Lancers."
