The vow of stability of monastics is one which ties them to a familiar people and land. Irish and Native American cultures also have similar ties to land and community. Discerning to be an oblate is a process of exploring one's faith and cultural ties to our monastery. In other words, its exploring different connections to land and community and their resonances with the Rule of Benedict and our monastic community. Come learn more about the Rule of Benedict and its incorporation into daily living.
