U.S. Bank is announcing their Internet Scholarship Program and will award (40) $1000.00 scholarships through a random drawing process. Current college freshmen, sophomore, or junior students enrolled at and attending a four-year college or university participating in the U.S. Bank No Fee Education Loan Program are eligible to apply. Scholarship award recipients have no obligation to U.S. Bank. U.S. Bank reserves the right to review and change the conditions and procedures of the Internet Scholarship Program – including its termination – at any time. Students must be enrolled by September 2011.
South Dakota Solid Waste Management Association

We are interested in individuals who are willing to work, who have been involved in community service, who have performed in a consistent manner in school and who work part-time. A high grade point average is not required, just consistent grades. Applicants with a desire to work in an environmental field or a support field to the solid waste industry are preferred, but all applicants will be considered. SDSWMA normally awards 2 – 3 scholarships annually ranging from $500 - $1000. A detailed letter outlining the application process and scholarship application is available through the SDSWMA website.
2012-2013 Mother Jerome Schmitt Presidential Scholarship

This award is a FULL-TUITION SCHOLARSHIP granted for one academic year, and is non-renewable. The Presidential Scholarship value is the cost of tuition at Mount Marty College for the year it is granted, up to 17 credit hours each semester. This academic scholarship includes a requirement that the recipient actively participate in a college recognized club, organization or activity. The recipient is chosen by the members of the Financial Assistance Committee on the basis of this special application. Mother Jerome served as the first president of Mount Marty College from 1936-1957. Mother Jerome provided the leadership for building the Bishop Marty Chapel, Whitby Hall, Marian Auditorium, and the construction of a new convent. After serving as prioress for 29 years, Mother Jerome taught German at MMC, worked in pastoral care and was a tutor at the college. In 1980 Mother Jerome was named Citizen of the Year for Yankton. She was a valiant, strong woman respected and admired by people all over the state.
2012-2013 Fallen Heroes Scholarship

South Dakota Corrections Association offers the $500 Fallen Heroes scholarship to a Junior or Senior majoring in the Corrections field or a related career field. Guidelines used to determine the recipient include but are not limited to: Junior or Senior in a College or University, South Dakota resident and interested in SD Correction or Human Service Fields, involved in school or community activities, Grade Point Average and show need. Scholarship applications must be postmarked by February 20, 2012. Applications are available in the Financial Assistance Office, Roncalli, Rm 100.
SOUTH DAKOTA BANKERS FOUNDATION

SD Bankers Foundations is now accepting applications for the $1000 Herman Lerdal Scholarship, $1000 Joyce Hazeltine Scholarship, $1000 David S. Birkeland Scholarship and $1000 Alan B. Graff Scholarship to be awarded to a junior with an expressed interest in banking, finance or business and attending a SD College or University.
Sioux Falls Area Retired Teachers Association Scholarship

This award benefits students majoring in education at an accredited South Dakota college or university who will be entering their junior or senior year. Eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, have participated in school and community affairs and demonstrate motivation and commitment to the teaching profession.

This scholarship benefits graduates of Washington High School in Sioux Falls, SD, who are pursuing and undergraduate degree in education at an accredited four-year college or university. Eligible applicants must have completed enough credit hours to be classified as an incoming junior or senior and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better in their major and overall.
Jim and Pat Croston Family Scholarship

Applicants must be graduates of a Sioux Falls, SD high school majoring in education and enrolled as full-time students entering their junior or senior year at an accredited college or university in South Dakota. Preference will be given to those who are pursuing degrees in elementary or secondary education who plan to work in a middle school setting.
Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C. Scholarship

Yankton Medical Clinic is pleased to announce the Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C. Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to be awarded to a student currently enrolled in a laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy or nursing program. Preference will be given to those with an intention to return to work in one of the above mentioned fields within a 50 mile radius of Yankton, SD. Applications are available through the Financial Assistance Office located in Roncalli, Room 100.
The Army Nurse Corps Association (ANCA)

Now accepting applications for the Captain Joshua M McClimans 2012 Memorial Scholarship for baccalaureate or higher degree nursing and anesthesia students. ANCA will be selecting up to 15 students to receive $3000 scholarships. Applications are available online at Army Nurse Corps Association.

Spirit of Sioux Falls Scholarship

Applicants for this award must live in or maintain residency in Lincoln or Minnehaha County, even though they may attend a school outside the area. Applicants must also attend a school accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in business and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of business in American Society. A motivation and ability to succeed, academic excellence and community involvement are also criteria for this award.
